İngiliz istihbarat kurumu GCHQ, yeni uzmanlar bulmak için farklı bir yönteme başvurdu. Kamu İleşitim Merkezi (GCHQ), geçen ay http://canyoucrackit.co.uk adı altında şifreli bir internet sitesi başlattığını, amacının, GCHQ’da işe alınmak üzere “şifre kırmaya ve etik siber saldırıya gerçekten merakı bulunanları” belirlemek olduğunu açıkladı.
Yeni yetenekleri bulmak için düzenlenen yarışma sosyal paylaşım sitelerinde de duyuruldu. GCHQ, şifreyi kıran adayların başvuru formlarına ulaşmalarını sağlayacak bir şifre verileceğini, daha sonra bu kişilerin kurumun işe alma sayfasına yönlendirileceğini bildirdi. Daha önce yasa dışı internet korsanlığı suçu işleyenlerin kabul edilmeyeceği, adayların İngiliz olmasının gerektiği kaydedildi. 3 Kasım’da başlatılan yarışmanın 12 Aralık’a kadar süreceği belirtildi.
